미국의 록 그룹 하트는 1970년대 후반기에 Magic man과 Crazy on you 로 한국의 팝송팬들에게 잘 알려졌다.

그리고 80년대를 넘어 1985년에 제목이 나쁜 짐승들(Bad Animal)이란 앨범이 빅 히트를 기록했다.

앨범 쟈켓이 그로테스크하게 생긴 Bad Animal 앨범속에서 두곡이 빌보드 싱글 차트 정상에 올랐다.

그것은  록발라드These dreams와 Alone이었다.

Alone은 현재까지도 국내팬들에게 꾸준한 인기를 누리고 있는 곡이기도 하다.

 하트는 1970년대 초반에 결성된 남녀 혼성 5인조 그룹이다.

 독특하게도 여성 보컬의 록밴드 하트는 그룹의 홍일점은 언니 앤 윌슨(Ann Wilson, 1950년 생)과

기타리스트인 동생 낸시 윌슨(Nancy Wilson, 1954년 생) 자매 였다.

이들 자매의 카리스마를 바탕으로 하드한 팝록을 음악적 베이스로 

구축했던 그룹 하트는 미국에서 상업적으로 성공한 그룹이었다.

 

1980년대에 하트의 앤 윌슨은 러버보이(Loverboy)의 리드 보컬리스트 마이크 레노(Mike Reno)와 함께

댄스 무비인 <풋루스>의 사랑의 테마 ‘Almost paradise(1984년 7위)’를 취입한 것 외에도

 에디 머피가 주연한 <골든 차일드>의 주제곡 ‘The best man in the world(1985년 61위)’와

 멜 깁슨과 미셀 파이퍼가 타이틀 롤을 맡은 영화 <데킬라 선라이스>의 주제가로

 리차드 막스(Richard Marx)가 작곡한 ‘Surrender to me(1989년 6위)’를

칩 트릭(Cheap Trick)의 로빈 젠더(Robin Zander)와 호흡을 맞춰 독행(獨行)으로도 히트 차트에 입성했다.
<세이 애니씽>, <싱글스>, <제리 맥과이어>, <올모스트 페이머스> 그리고

 최신작 <바닐라 스카이> 등을 만들어 한국에 내한하기도 했던

영화 감독 카메론 크로우(Cameron Crow)의 부인인 동생 낸시 윌슨은

 간혹 남편의 영화 음악 스코어를 작곡함으로써 록음악과는 다른 새로운 분야를 개척하고 있다.
2012년 9월 25일 그룹 하트 앤 윌슨과 낸시 윌슨 자매는

헐리우드 스타들의 이름이 표식된 스타 로드에 그들의 이름이 등재되었다.
